As the time draws near for us to apply for a broadcast license, we need lots of support letters to show the Australian Broadcasting Authority (ABA) we mean business. The more letters we have, the more the ABA will see the tremendous support we have of the community of Gippsland. All you need to do is state how much you are looking forward to the benefits of our new community radio station. If you would like to see examples of letters we have already received (including one from Hon Peter McGauran MP) simply click on the links below or scroll down the page. Send your letter to us at Life FM, PO Box 124, Sale 3850, or email us using the form on the Contact page.
FROM: Federal Member For Gippsland - Peter Mcgauran, MP
I wish to offer my congratulations and whole-hearted support in your efforts to established Life Gippsland FM.
The establishment of a community radio station firmly founded upon Christian beliefs will be a welcome addition to broadcasting across Gippsland.
The interdenominational interest in the project is a testament to the support and goodwill that surrounds it.
I am most impressed by your plans to reach out to the community not only through the cultural mix of your programming but through the provision of training for young unemployed.
I believe the service you are endeavouring to provide will have a very beneficial social impact on what has become an increasingly rural fragmented community.
I fully support your application for a Permanent Community Broadcasters license and look forward to tuning in to Life Gippsland FM in the not too distant future.
FROM: Ulrike Kimler
Please do not hesitate to contact me again if I can be of any further assistance to you. I am writing to you to let you know that I am looking forward to the time when we, in Gippsland, can enjoy a local community radio station. I very much would like to hear local people who deliver local content in line with my Christian belief on a regular basis. The hct that LIFE FM proposes to be a positive voice in the presently existing media is of great importance to me.
Please consider LIFE FM's submission favorably.

Great news that there is going to be a Community Radio Station in Gippsland.
I am currently studying a Counselling and Family Therapy Course and there is a real need for people to hear the words of hope in our community. With the isolation and loneliness that our rural communities experience to be able to tune into a radio station that offers programs with messages of hope, music that is uplifting and inspiring can only be commended.
A caring station can touch so many people with the values of the Christian faith as its foundation what a wonderful ministry and we could not ask for more.
With my prayers as you venture forth.
FROM: Araluen Primary School - John Lorimer, Principal
I write this letter in strong support for the work that Life FM Gippsland is undertaking in this area
I am a school principal and on a daily basis I am made aware of the immense pressures that are facing the family unit of today. Whether these pressures are financial and job related or the more subtle pressures of lifestyle confusion that involves family breakups, custody or drug issues or family violence, the list goes on; a radio station that can offer hope in an often crazy world is to be applauded and encouraged.
A local radio station run by real people with real problems and offering real solutions is a means by which some of the problems listed above can be tackled.
Our family has already donated to the Life FM station as we believe the people behind the concept have a genuine care and concern for the people of Sale and district. We too believe them to be people of honesty and integrity and support them in this venture 100%.
I hope this letter is a positive influence on your decision, as I truly believe that this radio station will do much good for the community.

I am writing this letter to indicate my support for Life FM Gippsiand.
I am a secondary school teacher who is in constant contact with young people who are experiencing pressures of various kinds. Whether they are related to the breakdown of the family unit, or to peer pressure, drugs or expectations from parents, they are very present in the lives of many.
The idea of "Hope" being administered through the air waves Is both exciting and encouraging. No one living in our community could deny that there is an ever present need for people to be uplifted and 'cared for", life FM's aim Is to reach the needs of the people. It is an organisation that is driven by people who are thinking of others. This has to be a positive addition to our community. I also think that the people involved In the station are committed to running a professional operation, which Is important.
I could not support more strongly the work of LIFE FM Gippsland and I wish you well in your application for a licence. I have already contributed financially to LIFE FM and I Intend to continue to support it in any way that I can.
FROM: Sale Community Business Association - Keith Boyd
We are pleased to hear of your plans to commence Life FM in Gippsland.
A radio station focusing on introducing a "positive voice" to Central Gippsland will be invaluable at this point in time.
Reports of good community support so far are encouraging, and we believe that a facility such as this can only add strong benefits to our business community as a result of services offered.
We wish you the best in your endeavors.
FROM: Anglican Diocese of Gippsland - Archdeacon Clem Watts, Vicar General
I am writing on behalf of the Bishop of Gippsland to give my support to launching the community radio station Life FM, Gippsland.
It is wonderful to see that this radio station will be in Gippsland for Gippsland run by Gippsland people. The support it will give to our local rural communities will be of great value in these times of isolation and "service withdrawal". It will give the opportunity for a forum for the many issues that are relevant to our local community, offering hope and a positive attitude.
"Clean music", positive comments, and a caring station can touch so many people with the values of the Christian faith as its foundation. This can be only an uplifting experience for all those who are able to tap into this resource.
With every blessing in all your endeavours.
FROM: East Gippsland Shire Council - Keith L Smyth, Councillor
You really inspired your audience the other evening at the Ecumenical Dinner with your enthusiasm and your dedication. The warm applause at the end means that your new Life FM Station will kick off with another 150 loyal listeners.
The people with whom I have chatted in East Gippsland are also looking forward to the launch of your new venture. Some are looking forward to the soothing and uplifting music and all are looking forward to a new local content, locally presented radio station.
As you know, the people of East Gippsland are now taking a stand about the misconception that the eastern boundary of Victoria is Dandenong. After four years in the country, my wife and I now realise how hard it is for city people to understand the distances that we drive on a daily basis and that many of our "issues" are different.
As a concluding note, a local station run by local people with local content of a high quality will be a "God Send".
Best of luck with your venture.
Please don't hesitate to call on me if you feel I can be of assistance. East Gippsland needs this radio station.
With my best regards to u and your team.
FROM: Taliesin Web Design - EM Harris, Manager
As a member of the Gippsland community I would like to express my support of Life FM Gippsland.
I very much look forward to a radio station broadcasting local content by and for local people. I also look forward to the quality content and moral standards that a Christian radio station will present.
For a long time East Gippsland has been in need of an alternative radio station. There are many of us who do not find the content of the current radio stations applicable to our daily lives. A Christian radio station will offer a positive message and will give hope and encouragement to thousands of listeners across the region. Because Life FM will be all about local people and local issues, the rural areas of East Gippsland will get back a little of what they seem to have lost over recent years due to changes taking place in the area.
East Gippsland will introduce new opportunities that have not existed in such a way before. Ability to help the often needy and neglected members of our society through programs aimed at a wide variety of people groups and even future employment opportunities, particularly the younger people who so often find it impossible to gain experience and employment in regional areas.
It is definately time East Gippsland had a significant positive influence and I believe Life FM can be just such an influence.
Life FM has my full support.
FROM: Specialist Tutoring - Rosanne Trevaskis
Congratulations on the wonderful idea of launching a community radio station broadcasting "clean music".
I feel sure that such a radio station for Gippsland will significantly impact on the lives of both young and old. I can say this with certainty as I know listening to Christian radio fills one with hope and a positive attitude!
Perhaps Life FM will be part of the answer to youth suicide in our rural area. Where there is Hope, suicide doesn't occur.
FROM: Annette Arnot
I am writing to express my thanks and anticipation as you consider licensing a Christian radio station in Gippsland.
I'm certain that a Christian Radio station would benefit not only the church community of Gippsland, but the community at large. Won't it be great to be daily sending out a message of encouragement and positive thinking to Gippslanders? Isn't this what so many of us are not currently hearing?
We look forward to your support.
